Visual Design

Job Description

-Collaborate with teams, customers and/or users to acquire and refine requirements to design visual UI elements for products for both Asian and North American users

-Identify usability issues and work with interaction designers, user researchers, and engineers to solve these issues

-Create and iteratively refine detailed specifications and final graphics for Engineering

-Create wire-frames, storyboards, and interactive prototypes as part of design process

-Work with Engineering to understand architecture and development issues/limitations

-Collaborate with team to develop style guides and test/validation methodologies.

Qualifications

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or Human-Computer Interaction preferred

-Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methods

-Strong knowledge of cross-cultural design issues

-Experience designing images, storyboards, UI mockups, and prototypes using tools such as Photoshop, Visio, PowerPoint, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Illustrator, Flash, and Visual Basic and/or VisualStudio.NET

-Solid understanding of various digital media formats

-Good written and verbal communication skills (both in English and Mandarin)



Interaction Design

Job Description

-Work with Engineering to understand architecture and development issues/limitations

-Collaborate with team to develop style guides and test/validation methodologies.

Qualifications

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive/Engineering Psychology, or Computer Science

-Experience designing UIs for consumer electronics devices, complex web sites, Windows or Mac applications, or PDA/mobile phone UIs

-Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and methods

-Strong knowledge of cross-cultural design issues

-Experience creating storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes using tools such as Photoshop, Visio, PowerPoint, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Illustrator, Flash, and Visual Basic and/or VisualStudio.NET

-Ability to communicate effectively with engineers about technical issues

-Prior experience with writing detailed design specifications preferred

-Strong written and verbal communication skills (both in English and Mandarin)
