Position: Software Engineer (User-Centered Design, User
Technologies)
IBM, one of the most admired multinational companies, is seeking
Human Factors Engineers for its User Centered Design Lab.
User-Centered Designers work with product development teams to
help deliver world-class usability to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to define user requirements, test
prototypes, and identify problem areas
- Work with programmers, engineers, and other team members to
iteratively design new products
- Design and conduct formal and informal usability tests,
design walkthroughs, paper prototypes, customers interviews,
field studies, and surveys
Qualifications:
- MA or MS in Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Industrial
Engineering, or related dicipline, or BS or BA degree with 5
or more years relevant experience
- Experience designing and conducting customer based
activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both
English and Chinese
- Strong team spirit and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, its
processes, and related deliverables
- Strong ability to work independently and as a member of a
cross-functional team
