Interactive user interface prototyping is an important way of getting the mobile user experience design right. However, the prototyping methods for mobile platforms are still in their infancy and solid and tried practices are still looked for. In this workshop, we will give an overview of using interactive prototyping in mobile user interface development via three themes:

- Interactive UI prototypes in interaction design process. How prototyping is embedded in design process and what kind of benefits one can get from prototypes?

- Evaluating mobile designs with interactive prototypes. Mobile devices pose extra difficulties for design evaluation as logging and recording of the small and limited devices is challenging.

- Creative ways of using interactive UI prototypes. Prototyping can be an expensive approach, but with careful planning the return of investment can be assured.

In the workshop, the participants will get hands on experience on working with mobile prototypes and understand the benefits and challenges of this approach.
