Mika Käki ¨C Senior Interaction Designer
in Idean Creative Ltd. Mika holds a PhD in Interactive Technology
and has years of experience on usability consultancy. He has
designed and lectured graduate level university courses on user
centered design and on programming graphical user interfaces at
University of Tampere, in Finland. As a usability consultant he has
involved in design and evaluation of mobile, desktop and Web
application projects with companies like Nokia.
Mika's academic work has concentrated on new Web search user
interface solutions. The possibilities of automatic categorization
were studied with working prototypes and results were published in
prestige forums, such as ACM CHI'2005 Conference. Mika's strong
background in computer science combined with the expertise in
human-computer interaction provides interesting insights how
technology can be utilized to its fullest for optimal user
experience.
