Mr. Marcus will summarize AM+A's investigations of trends in mobile user-interface design (new developments in metaphors, mental models, navigation, interaction, and appearance) for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean vs. North American products and services. He will also summarize issues of cross-cultural user-experience design, including using culture models that analyze culture dimensions (e.g., context, technology development, uncertainty avoidance, time perception, authority perception). To the extent possible, he will suggest where products and services seem to be heading. A detailed bibliography will be available to participants afterwards.
