Jeremy Ashley, VP of Applications User Experience at Oracle will discuss how the business value of user experience is evident in three places:
• Within the company; through both the traditional UX activities (ethnographic studies to ensure you are building the right product, design iteration, etc.) as well as the impact on the development process when an organization shifts its thinking from building technology to providing solutions.
• Outside the company, where an effective user experience organization can drive the perception among customers and analysts that a company has innovative UI¡¯s, is listening to its customers, and has a passion for good products.
• At the customer: the outcome of the work, makes their business more efficient, reduces training costs, decreases time on task, reduces support costs, and can potentially redefine how the work itself should be done.
