Pan Yunhe is a Vice President General of the CAE, alternate member of the Central Committee, president of Zhejiang University and a computer specialist.
Pan Yunhe graduated from Tongji University in 1970 and received Master’s degree from Zhejiang University in 1981. He is a professor and the president of Zhejiang University and chairman of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in China, Chairman of the Chinese Association of Image and Graphics. 
Since 1970s, Prof. Pan started the research of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics and CAD technology. He is one of the pioneers in the fields of ICAD, Graphics Thinking Simulating, and Computer-Aided Product Innovation. Most of his research achievements are applied in industrial and social uses.
 
Prof. Pan has won numerous national, provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements awards. He successfully promoted the development of computer arts in China. Prof. Pan has published over 300 papers and 4 monographs. The knowledge-abilities-qualification-based education idea advocated by Prof. Pan has been applied in Zhejiang University.
