Alex Zhu currently manages SAP's User Experience team in China. As part of SAP's global UX organization, his team is responsible for user research and design of SAP's next-GEN BI (business intelligence) applications. This team also supports some research topics, for example, intercultural study, environmental applications, and so on.
In the last 3 years, Alex's role was solution manager, involved in the product definition for SAP's new SME solution offerings.
Prior to joining SAP, Alex worked in WebEx (now a Cisco company) for 3 years, where he led a product design group that consists of UI designers, creative designers, and UI developers. Product responsibilities include business-oriented CSCW applications (e.g. online meeting center) as well as a few consumer-oriented communication tools (e.g. instant messenger).
In the early stage of Alex's career, he spent 2 years working for Chinapages.com, a local internet company in Hangzhou that provides verticalized B2B solutions for various industries.
Alex holds bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
