| Description |
There was a time when offshore usability was debated and questioned. Opinion was divided down the middle. The appropriateness of the business model and its replicability in a remote environment, the ethics of off shoring a practice that is built on the premise of user touch points, the relationship between usability and off-shoring, cultural repercussions and quality of deliverables were questioned. At the same time the cost advantage mesmerized many.
However today it’s evident that dispersed usability is imperative for companies to survive in a world of constantly shifting power centers. ‘The notion of we design and they will adapt has given way to collaborative design’
This talk will explore
The challenges usability teams have faced in Asia.
The useful and positive out come of dispersed teams and how they have redefined process and boundaries of usability.
Business trends which are further driving the need for dispersed usability teams.
What the future holds for dispersed teams.
Explore, discuss and comment at Sushmita interactive session.
