Jason co-founded UPA China as the 1st non-profit usability organization in China in April, 2004 and was elected as President in upa china's first electon in 2005. In the past 5 years, Jason organized User Friendly 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and has led the team to make both UPA China and User Friendly the well-known brands in the Asia-Pacific UX community. In 2007, he was nominated as Member of UPA International Director Board. He has been the Regional Coordinator of UPA Asia since 2007.
In 2005, he helped Human Factors International found the China office in Shanghai and became Managing Director; He led the team to win many quality clients like SAP, Microsoft, Huawei, Haier, Samsung, KAIST, etc. In 2007, he founded TANG User eXperience Consulting leading a team with over 25 researchers, designers and consultants located in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, and he has served over 60 clients, 30 of which are World Top 500 Enterprises, such as SAP, China Mobile, Samsung, Paypal, GE, Microsoft, Intel, etc
Jason has been invited to give presentations and trainings at over 80 companies, organizations, conferences and universities including Samsung, Intel, ICBC，BOC, China Telecom, China Mobile, GE Healthcare, NetEase, Microsoft, Tsinghua University, KAIST, Sina, UPA International, Design For BRICs, etc.Jason studied Computer Science in Southeast University, China and then holds the Master degree in HCI from University of Bath, UK.

Jason's dream is to make UPA China the communication platform of choice for user experience practitioners in both the east and west, and TANG Consulting a force for product innovation for China.”

Maggie Ying
Vice President & Board Member, UPA China

Maggie joined UPA China in 2004 and was one of the organizers since the 1st User Friendly conference in 2004.

Senior human resources consultant, Maggie is committed to helping to provide job career planning and coaching. She is now serving Jombet Technology(Beijing) Ltd. as Director of Sales and Marketing, North China.Maggie Ying has been working in Lexmark International, HRA( Human Resources Association for Chinese & Foreign Enterprises. Beijing),with 7 years in human resources recruitment, C&B, training experience. Maggie got the master degree from Beijing Business and Technology University. In the past 5 years, Maggie co-organized the User Friendly annual conferences and organized World Usability Day in China ,since 2005.

Maggie’s dream is “do my best to provide the learning, development and growing platform for all members.”

Mike Wang

Vice President & Board Member, UPA China

Mike has been working in the user experience industry for around 9 years. Mike is the director of the UX department in Augmentum. Prior to Augmentum, Mike Wang has worked with such companies as Tsinghua Tongfang, Jiulong Technology, Simcom. He is very experienced in the field of User Experience of handheld device, the application software and website.

Mike has been the vice president of UPA China since 2005 and is one of the members of the management team of both UPA China and User Friendly conferences

Zudy joined UPA China since since User Friendly 2008 conference and is member of the management team of both UPA China and User Friendly conferences.

Xin Chen

Xin Chen graduated from the Hunan University. Xin has been working as a user interface designer for 5 years and is now an Interaction designer. He joined UPA China in 2006 and now is member of the management team of both UPA China and User Friendly conferences.

Fangyu Xia

Director of Resources & Board Member，UPA China

Fangyu, Technical director, MSc, graduated from Engineering Psychology of Zhejiang University.
Began the “UX trip” in 2004, participated and lead lots of UX projects related to many different industrial domains, e.g. Internet, Mobile Computing, Financial software and website, Home appliance, ERP, E-Business, Medical software etc. Brought good UX value to the clients, included ICBC, CMCC, GE, IBM, Microsoft, MSN, Samsung China, SAP, Papal, Metlife, JP Morgan, Ericsson, Sina, Alibaba, Haier, Kingdee and PCOnline etc.
Connected with the Engineering Psychology methods, much practical experience had been generated during these projects. And based on the projects experience summarization, Fangyu is focusing on the UX practice’s innovation, trying to create more valuable, efficient methods to the organizations’ UX works, e.g. methods and skills of user research, design and how to transform the research into real design more efficiently etc.

Xin Li

Director of Finance & Board Member, UPA China

Xin.Li graduated from Jilin Engineering and Technology College of Art in 2000 and has worked in the field of UX for 10 years. Now, she is working at BokeSoft Shanghai as UE manager. Xin joined UPA China in 2004. Since then, she has participated in the organization, design, planning and financials of both UPA China and User Friendly conferences.
